Our Generational Wound

"I am your Mother and I am the Mother of All within form. Life is, and only ever was possible through me: through the Mother."

Would you Choose the Mother you have/had?

What if you were faced with the opportunity right now, to go back to your time of birth and re-choose who your Mother will be….  Would you make the same choice again? OR Would you choose your current self, the woman you are now to be your Mother?***

My Journey with the Protectress

It has been a whole astrological year since the Amazonian Arts Circle for the Protectress Warrioress, where we grounded the energy of the Mother. Through the held support of the Journey Women present, I embodied the role of Clan Mother for the Protectress into our physical realm.

Embodiment is no easy task. I had to wade my way through the toxic pain, suffering and torment of my ancestral generational wound, in order for my physical being to create space for the Protectress energy. The Drum Journey I...

To Sow a Seed is to Believe

I recently had a beautiful experience which demonstrated to me the powerful transformation that is occurring on the planet at present. As many are so aware, we are facing unprecedented times of growth and evolution as we stand in the face of the world's 6th greatest extinction. Our top soil has been washed away from monoculture farming practices as we’re pumping numerous chemicals into our food production and bodies.  The waters are polluted as is the blood in our veins, our air is hard to breathe as we drive our cars, praise commercialism and industry growth. These stories are growing very stale and old as so many are fully waking up to chronic physical, mental, spiritual, and environmental crises we can’t ignore any longer.  Everything is signalling to us something isn’t right.  s so many of us humans have lost connection to self, love of self and others, and of the Earth we live – so are we being presented with countless opportunities to...

The Season of Autumn, the gifts of Metal and Maga Wisdom

In the Southern Hemisphere where I live, the wheel has turned and Autumn is upon us. It is also the time of the corresponding element of Metal. If we relate this to the cycle of life for a woman it is the Maga phase.

One of the many gifts of the Amazonian Art Huntress archetype is that She stands for the rights of women and honors the Cycles of the Moon. I believe that this archetype has called me to hold women’s circles for the purpose of honoring the Moon cycles and the women in my life who sit each month witnessing each other. I feel called to create space for connection and to honor the sacred feminine. As I personally have been dancing into the Maga phase of life (with a lot of foot stomping) and have been seeing women around me experiencing these changes, I felt inspired to hold a circle for women in my community to help women explore their beliefs around this phase of life. Also with the intention of better preparing ourselves for this transition.

The Magickal Power of Intention

Magic is faith in the as-yet-unmanifest. It is the invocation of the large, while praising the small. Magic is the redoubling of our vow when disappointment befalls us, a shoulder to the wheel of our intent.

Excerpt by Toko-pa Turner

Look up at the Stars ...

The Ether that permeates the entire Cosmos is the infinite, unmanifest potential of creation, the plasma field within which literally anything is possible. Look up at the stars and know the immensity of this truth. Feel the Earth beneath our feet and the miracle of her life giving soils, rocks, plants and creatures, her flowing nourishing waters, the warmth and light of the sun and fire and the air we breath, so rich in life force. Look within our own bodies and sense the intelligence of the Universe at work within this Body/Soul Temple.

Make Believe ...

Magick* is all around us in every moment. It is only our conditioning and the scientific filter of our culture that has belittled it to the realm of...

New Beginnings

As we enter the new year so comes the time of deep reflection. Looking back on the past and measuring how far we have come. What decisions we made that rippled into our present moment. This time of year simultaneously projects us into the future with the setting of goals, aspirations and intentions.

The Role of Time in Our Lives

I wonder if it truly is reflecting how tight the grip of time is on our lives. When our minds spend their time swinging endlessly between the past and future. Not to say its a bad thing by any means, reflecting on the past and its stepping stones to our present moments can be extremely enlightening and insightful. Just as planning our next steps are equally as fruitful. But where the greatest treasures lie are here in the present moment as it opens a doorway to the depths of self.

The Inbetwix and Inbetween

As we transition between 2 things, past and future, last year and this one, there is a lure to go so deep within and...

Water Dragon Mythology

Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Hona Lee…

Peter Yarrow and Lenny Lipton 1963

Dragon myths and legends have been around almost for as long as humankind. Oral histories of dragons with glistening scales fluorescent in colour, to terrifying fire-breathing winged creatures, often identified as dwelling in caves and guarding treasure and slain by knights.

In Greece the word dracon, from which the English word was derived, was used originally for any large serpent (sea serpent) and the dragon mythology, in which ever shape it later assumed, remained essentially a snake. Many Drakaines and Sea Monsters were female and in service to Poseidon.

Norse Mythology

Jormungandr, one of the most iconic mythical sea dragons in European lore, the great serpent of Norse mythology, comprised the most dangerous elements from sea dragons around the world. Jormungandr was said to be so large that he...

The Alchemist's Gold

Among my treasures is a Gold bracelet from another life and I recently contemplated letting it go. But as I held it and considered its value, put it on and contemplated it, the word Gold kept arising. I could change it, melt it down... I haven’t worked with Gold, but I am collecting little pieces to melt. So it's time to start the transformation of the Gold!

I had a feeling of worthiness of being a Creator in Metal that started to build and the Alchemist within me decided to transform the bracelet for myself and see how it felt.

It had been transformed years ago but now it was time for my hands to transform it, to make it fit more snuggly, and now it feels so nice! I love the Coin like Charm; it hangs in a perfect position.

So now the CHARM… looking at the Charm and what will I imbue into it. Will I pierce my spirit animal into this Charm? And what is a Charm?

Charm:

  • the chanting or reciting of a magic spell: incantation.
  • a practice or expression...

Alchemist Clan Mother Speaks ...

Ahhh, the Scorpio New Moon is upon us, exerting a powerful, magical energy, calling us to get in touch with and heal the shadow side of life in order to acknowledge and celebrate our inner Truth. That has certainly been the case for me this last week; in my personal life, my wider community and the world in general and it definitely hasn't been easy or comfortable.

For the last few months, I have been immersed in an exploration of Sacred Union with my Beloved. It sounds fabulous, but I had little idea of what I was in for. In order to look at our shadows, we have to unmask ourselves to expose our fears and vulnerabilities and all the needy parts of us that are longing for love and connection. It's like standing on the edge of the abyss or jumping into the fire of initiation. There is a huge terror in letting go of our security, secrets, and patterns and just surrendering to the process.

Forward Ever, Backwards Never

My dear, in the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love.

In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile.

In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm.

I realised, through it all, that… In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.

And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger—something better, pushing right back.

Albert Camus, Return to Tipasa

Forward Ever, Backwards Never

There’s a funny thing about moving away from your home of 20 years, renting out your house, and getting stuck in the middle of a statewide COVID shitstorm…. You can’t go back.

Can’t go back to safety.

Can’t go back to comfort.

Can’t go back to where you were.

Not that I wanted to, but it was kind’ve nice to have the choice ...

Hygeia & the Snake

Hygieia: the Resurfacing of a Pre-Olympian Status Quo?

Last Sunday was World Goddess Day. This enticed me to have a deeper look into the mythology of my ally Goddess HYGIEIA - Goddess of Health. I am somewhat hesitant to add Goddess of Cleanliness or Hygiene, because in our day an age, I find overt hygiene is actually a cause of many health conditions. But this is a topic for a whole new post… Suffice to say that in 400BCE, hand washing and purification of air through incense amongst other things was making a positive difference in the treatment of plaque and other infectious diseases. And since Hygieia is attributed to be most strong on the preventative side of health care, it kind of makes sense. She also is linked to mental health through her association with Goddess Athena. So on the whole she seems to be the ancient personification of a modern holistic health care practitioner who is walking her talk.

Hygieia comes from a renowned...
